Refund Policy

Refund Policy

We want every engagement with Mirembe Muse to result in real value. This policy sets out clearly when refunds apply, so there are no surprises on either side.

1. Professional Services

  • Discovery calls: Complimentary. No charge, no refund applicable.
  • Cancellation 5+ business days before start: 50% refund of any deposit paid. Work already completed is non-refundable.
  • Cancellation within 5 business days of start: No refund on deposit. Hours already worked are billable at the agreed daily rate.
  • After delivery of work product: No refund. Revisions within scope are included as specified in the Statement of Work.
  • Cancellation by Mirembe Muse: Full refund of all deposits paid. We will also make reasonable effort to refer you to an appropriate provider.

2. Digital Products (SaaS Subscriptions)

  • Monthly subscriptions: Cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refunds.
  • Annual subscriptions: Cancellable within 14 days of purchase for a full refund if the product has not been materially used. After 14 days, no refund — access continues to end of annual period.
  • One-off digital purchases (templates, downloads): No refunds after download. If you experienced a technical failure preventing access, contact support within 48 hours.

3. Physical Products (Sanyu Botanicals)

  • Damaged or defective on delivery: Full refund or replacement within 14 days of delivery. Photographic evidence of damage required.
  • Wrong item received: Full refund or correct item dispatched at our cost within 14 days.
  • Change of mind (unopened): Return within 14 days at the customer’s shipping cost. Refund less original shipping costs once product is received in original condition.
  • Opened products: No refund except in cases of defect or allergic reaction (see below).
  • Allergic reaction: Discontinue use immediately. Contact us within 7 days with details. Refund considered case by case.

4. Workshops & Events

  • Cancellation 5+ business days before the event: full refund or transfer to another date.
  • Cancellation within 5 business days: 50% refund or transfer to another date (once only).
  • No-show: no refund.
  • Event cancelled by Mirembe Muse: full refund or priority rebooking.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email legal@mirembemuse.co.za with the subject line "Refund Request — [your name]". Include your invoice or order number, the reason for the request, and (for physical products) photographic evidence where applicable. We will respond within 3 business days and process approved refunds within 5–7 business days.

6. Consumer Protection Act

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 (CPA). Where the CPA grants you broader rights than those described here, those rights apply.
